EYES TO THE SKY

"Introduction to the Splendor of the Night Sky," a program for anyone with little or no experience in viewing the night sky, will be presented by retired NASA engineer Bert Probst at 7 p.m. next Thursday in the Gateway Executive Office building, 3556 Lake Shore Road, Blasdell. Cost is $4 for nonmembers of Penn Dixie Paleontological and Outdoor Education Center; members are free. For information, call 627-4560.

ARTS AND WRITING CONTEST

The Holocaust Resource Center of Buffalo is holding its Arts and Writing Contest for students in grades eight to 12. Entries in either visual arts or writing should focus on the theme: "It Could Happen to Me: Learning From the Holocaust." Prizes will be awarded for each category in each grade. Deadline is April 18.
