When Jeff Dunham descends into the First Niagara Center tonight, he won't be alone. The rock star of ventriloquists, Dunham will be bringing along a few of his friends, too, to give their insightful commentary on world events, pop culture and anything that strikes their fancy.
Look for the grumpy old Walter, the beer-loving Bubba J., Peanut and Achmed the Dead Terrorist, along with new faces like Achmed Jr. and Little Jeff.
Dunham's magic touch has turned into ratings gold, as well, with the success of his recent Biography Channel special, "Birth of a Dummy," and two new Comedy Central programs, "Controlled Chaos" and a Christmas special. He was named the top grossing live comedy act in the world in 2009 and 2010 by Pollstar, and Dunham merchandise -- think talking bobbleheads and animatronic dolls -- sell like hotcakes.
Dunham performs at 8 tonight in the First Niagara Center. Tickets are $49 (box office, Tickets.com).
