Eight Western New York youths were chosen to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, as part of Camp Broadway, a theater arts education company. SPECIAL EXHIBIT

Moore for Kids, a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping children and families in times of need, and Beads of Courage, a nonprofit organization that provides arts-in-medicine supportive care for children coping with serious illness, will team up for a special Buffalo Museum of Science exhibit to honor children with cancer at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Women and Children's Hospital.

The one-day exhibit of Beads of Courage Beads in Space will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Science Museum, 1020 Humboldt Parkway. On display will be handmade beads that flew aboard two NASA space shuttle missions. Visitors will be invited to create their own "space explorer's necklace." NASA astronaut Larry Delucas also will be at the museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit www.sciencebuff.org.
