Is Christmas' commercialism getting to you? Do you yearn to celebrate Advent in a more reverent way? Travel back in time. Travel, in other words, to the University at Buffalo's North Campus in Amherst tonight to hear the New York Virtuoso Singers.

The concert is called "Twelfth Night: Medieval Renaissance Christmas." It includes ancient devotional music, unison chant, duets, trios, quartets and vocal music for a full ensemble. Adding atmosphere will be hand bells and other hand-held percussion instruments.

Led by Harold Rosenbaum, the New York Virtuoso Singers perform at 7:30 tonight at Lippes Hall in Slee Hall. Admission is $20 at the door. For info, call 645-2921.
