On the surface, the pairing of Frankie Avalon and Susan Anton might appear to be a bit of an odd match.

He is the former teen idol whose wholesome nature and sweet voice made women swoon on such hits as "Venus" and as the star of many a teen beach film. She is the former beauty queen who became a star of stage, screen and television on everything from "Baywatch" to Broadway and more than 5,000 shows of "The Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular" in Las Vegas.

What they do have in common is a natural ability to entertain. Singing alone and together, Avalon and Anton will present a "A Classic Christmas Celebration" for seven shows starting Wednesday in the Seneca Events Center of the Seneca Niagara Casino, Niagara Falls. Expect to hear some hits from Avalon, some classics from Anton and holiday tunes from both. Plus, the two will join together to sing holiday duets at the end of the concerts. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, 1:30 and 7 p.m. Thursday, 7 p.m. next Friday, 1:30 and 7 p.m. Dec. 10 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11. Tickets start at $20 (box office, Ticketmaster). Visit
