It was a big weekend at the Buffalo Museum of Science last week as it unveiled the newest members of its permanent collection: a 12-foot-tall mastodon and 26-foot-long Albertosaurus. The mastodon has been named Seymour, and the museum is holding a contest to name the Albertosaurus. Submissions may be made via Facebook or by mail; entries can be obtained in the December issue of Western New York Family magazine or at the museum. Deadline for submission is Dec. 19. Music in Action's latest set of 10 student artist tracks can be downloaded for free at www.miatracks.org. "Paper Souls" was developed by the Music in Action team at Lewiston-Porter High School during last school year and includes a range of musical styles. The cover art was designed by Rob Minicucci, a 2010 graduate of Lew-Port.
