Coach: Tony Osburn, 3rd season

Outlook: The Purples Eagles will build around senior RB/WR/DB Pete Nesbitt, a league all-star. Senior Travis Downs, a WR last year, moves to QB. Albion welcomes transfer Troy Green from Charlotte, N.C. Senior OL/DL Levi Boyer anchors a young line. Look for 6-foot-5, 300-pound sophomore Steve Stauss to have a breakout season. He's one of five sophomores who could start.

Coach: Dick Diminuco, 3rd season

Outlook: The defending Section VI Class B champions look for a repeat led by a solid LB corp, decent speed in the backfield and a sophomore QB. The defense looks to all-league LB Ryan Sosnowski. "The thing I like about him is he doesn't say anything, he just plays," said Diminuco. Senior Justin Patterson has earned a full-time spot at RB/DB. Senior Eric Roth, the team's defensive MVP in last year's Regionals versus Hornell, returns at LB/WR. Another hard-hitting LB is junior Domenic Brotz. RT Josh Chase, C John Ridlespurg and LT Mason Lambert return to the O-line. Sophomore Brian Stoldt, the younger brother of Tyler, will start at QB. The Bulldogs will draw talent from a JV program that has won 17 straight.

Coach: Dan McGrath, 14th season

Outlook: The Wildcats begin their 95th season as the favorite to win Class B. The Wildcats have all the pieces with a future Division I player, huge line, experience backfield and speed everywhere. Up front are a pair of 300-pounders: senior OT/DT Jaden Cotton (6-6, 315), who has verballed to UB and senior OL/DL Andrew Burgio (6-1 300). Senior QB Aaron Ertel showed tremendous leadership leading the Wildcats to a share of last year's league title. Look for senior RB Joe Miller to crack 1,000 yards. Longtime assistant coach Ken Maciejewski and longtime PA announcer Bob "Spider" O'Neill have retired. JVs were 8-1.

Coach: Starling Bryant, 7th season

Outlook: Sophomore QB/RB/LB Devante Glover is one of the Panthers' primary weapons. East expects big things from junior OL/LB Maurice Kidd, who likes to hit. The line also returns three-year starter, senior Mark Threet (6-4, 325), and Myron Harden. At 6-2, 235, senior QB Jayvon Vanoy will be a load to bring down once he leaves the pocket. Senior Maurice Brown returns to his CB position. WR senior Myles Holliman is out for football for the first time. He's a top sprinter on East's track team. His speed will stretch the field.

Coach: Eric Valley, 4th season

Outlook: Look for junior Devon Griffin to carry more of the workload as he moves from WR to RB. Senior QB Stephen Rogenmoser, who made all nine starts last year, has all the tools a coach looks for in a QB, according to Valley. Senior Ron Washak will anchor the defense at LB and block for Griffin and Rogenmoser at FB. Back on the O-line are: R.J. McCormick, Zach Petry and Joey Robinson. Sophomore LB/TE Kyle Barna will start both ways. Medina native Lonnie Taylor has transferred back from East High and will play DE/LB.

Nickname: Panthers (3-6)

Coach: Alex Haney, 3rd season

Outlook: Sean Seefelt, CJ Knight, Max Russell and Nick Berning are some key returners, all of whom Haney said have brought a great attitude to camp. Seefelt is an all-state kicker, an accomplished QB and a dangerous DB. Knight is an aggressive LB who sees the field and loves to hit. A center, Russell is both tenacious and intelligent. Berning is fast and has great hands, and at WR can catch balls both deep and run the short routes.
