CHILD'S PLAY

Do you think that your iPhone or iPad most likely will be dropped from great heights before too long? Time to get a protective case for that overpriced gadget that holds all your important numbers and details. Even better, get something with a sweet, old-school flavor, such as the Etch-A-Sketch iPad or iPod case from Thinkgeek.com.

The cases are as functional as they are whimsical. They are protective cases made of impact-resistant ABS plastic and molded to look exactly like an Etch-a-Sketch. They are made in the same factory that makes the original Etch-a-Sketch toy. You can even run the Etch-a-Sketch app while using your iPad in its Etch-a-Sketch case. The iPad case is $39.99 and the iPhone case is $24.99. Check them out at www.thinkgeek.com.

GLOSSY GIRL

Lancome has joined forces with Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama for a collection of six limited-edition glosses. Kusama, often called the Princess of Polka Dots thanks to her love of playful dots and botanically inspired motifs, has been recognized since the 1960s for her contribution to the avant-garde world of environmental art.

The glosses are made out of Hungarian honey, royal jelly extract, beeswax and shea butter. There are six flavors: hazelnut cacao, apricot, honey, raspberry, vanilla and grapefruit. The formulas are 100 percent natural and preservative-free.

The tubes are $15 each, available exclusively through May in Nordstrom, and after June on lancome-usa.com and at all Lancome counters.
