The Community Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for full-time undergraduate students enrolled in a nonprofit, U.S. Department of Education accredited college. Pell-eligible applicants and students attending college in Western New York will be given preference. Applications are available online at and can be submitted until Tuesday.



Gilda's Club Western New York is holding its fourth annual Teen Writing Contest for students in grades nine through 12. Students should submit an essay or poem (500 words or less) describing their thoughts on cancer, relating to their own cancer or that of a friend, relative or teacher.
