Coach: Chad Lyter, first season

Outlook: George Harrington moves from WR to RB. Returning linemen are: C Scot Spears, G Clayton Schuh and T Chris McCullough. TJ Hulse returns at LB, along with Joe DeRose, who missed last season with a ruptured spleen. Last year's backup Brad Costa is battling with Justin Woods for QB. Woods moved into WNY from Texas. DB Thomas Ayers is a big hitter.

Coach: Nick Spitzer, first season

Outlook: The Cougars are a well-rounded, junior-laden team with good speed. Returning two-way starters are OG/DL John Barton and OT/DT Derek Wise, both elected captains. A double threat in the secondary are juniors Mike Lanphier and Tom Wissman. Mark Petersen, who coached the Cougars the last 16 seasons, takes over as AD.

Outlook: The Falcons have some nice depth and experience. The line will likely be three juniors and two sophomores. RB/LB Joe Armeli, RB/S Zach Miller and RB/LB Nate Sharp return to the backfield. Adam Kyle and Howard tenPas are experienced DL. Kyle Miller moves to QB after leading the team in receiving yards last year at TE.

Outlook: QB/LB Shane Smith, FB/DE Jordan Sherlock and C/DL Zach Mykula all started on the 2008 team that lost to Lackawanna in the Class B final. Smith returns after missing last season with a torn ACL. RB/S Alex Ippolito, OL/LB Nick Haskins and FL/DB Tyler Buckley return for their senior years. The JVs were 8-0.

Outlook: Returning QB/DB Brett Smith can think on his feet and brings good leadership skills. Junior Ben Haas looks to step in and help replace a graduated backfield. He's been to the wrestling states the last three years. Back on the line are T/DT Jon Winship, C/DT Nick Hoard and G/LB Caleb Bess. G Dylan Haines had a real good summer in the weight room.

Outlook: The Trojans' 29-game winning streak is the longest in the state. The defending state champions return three all-state players: second team OL Jake Currie, fourth team RB John Mistretta and fourth team OL Pat Langworthy (also third team All-WNY). Look for OL/DE Jake Currie, WR Nick Austin, WR/DB Todd Harris and LB Justin Funcell to have big senior years.
