Story tools:

Buffalo Bills fullback Corey McIntyre was arrested Thursday for allegedly exposing himslef outside the home of a Port St. Lucie, Fla., woman in March, authorities said.

Meanwhile, former Bill and future Hall of Famer Bruce Smith was charged with drunken driving Friday morning after a police officer stopped him for speeding, Virginia Beach police said.

McIntyre, 30, was charged with a misdemeanor count of exposing his sexual organs, the Treasure Coast Palm newspaper reported Friday. McIntyre was released from a Florida jail on $10,000 bail.

According to the newspaper report, a 59-year-old woman was at home about 8:30 a.m., March 20, when someone knocked at her window. She looked out the window to see the man, the newspaper reported.

Police in Port St. Lucie confirmed earlier this week that a warrant was issued for McIntyre's arrest. At that time, however, police were unable to locate him at his house. He was taken into custody Thursday.

"Corey McIntyre is one of the highest character people around and the last guy who would do what he's been accused of," McIntyre's Fort Lauderdale-based agent Brett J. Tessler said. "We look forward to proving that these embarrassing accusations are completely false and that Corey is guilty of absolutely nothing."

McIntyre joined the Bills last season. During a six-year NFL career, he has also been with Cleveland, New Orleans and Atlanta.

In Virginia Beach, Smith was released on bond a few hours after being charged with speeding, driving under the influence and refusal to take an alcohol breath test, according to police spokesman Jimmy Barnes. He could not determine whether a hearing date has been set, and it was not immediately clear whether the 45-year-old Smith had an attorney.

Smith, who played for the Bills and the Washington Redskins, is the NFL's all-time sacks leader. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame earlier this year and will be inducted in August. He was a first-team All-Pro selection nine times.

Smith played at Virginia Tech before being taken by the Bills as the top pick in the NFL draft in 1985. He is a native of Norfolk but now lives in Virginia Beach.

Barnes said an officer in a special DUI enforcement unit stopped Smith's vehicle on Interstate 264 at about 1:42 a.m. He said he didn't know how fast Smith was driving in the 55 mph zone, but it had to be less than 75 mph or he would have been charged with reckless driving.

Barnes said the officer reported Smith's demeanor was positive even though he refused the breath test.

Smith has two previous DUI arrests but has not been convicted. A 1997 charge was dismissed, and he was acquitted in 2003.
