Guilty plea entered in undercover drug sale

LOCKPORT—Niagara Falls drug dealer Paul G. Edwards pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court on Wednesday.
Edwards, 25, of Fourth Street, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for selling cocaine to an undercover police agent in Niagara Falls on Dec. 4.
Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza went along with a proposed plea deal that limited Edwards’ prison time to no more than 2z ye 1/2 r 1/3 ; the legal maxi-mum would have been 5z ye 1/2 r 1/3 .
She will impose sentence Jan. 27.
