3 from Chautauqua County arrested on drug charges

Story tools:

Three Chautauqua County residents were arrested Saturday by state police assigned to Operation Impact in Buffalo after they stopped a vehicle at Niagara and Hampshire streets and found a small amount of heroin and hypodermic needles.

Charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance were Melanie L. Mohawk, 20, of Irving, and Aaron J. Tundo, 20, and Gilberto Rosas Jr., 19, both of Silver Creek.

Rosas faces multiple drug possession charges after he was found with klonopin, hydrocodone and morphine pills.

He also was charged with promoting prison contraband after he allegedly was found with two needles in his underwear at the Erie County Holding Center.
