Man admits illegal tap into natural gas line
An Orchard Park man has admitted that he illegally tapped into a natural gas line, police reported.
Alan D. Armstrong, 39, of Gartman Road, was arrested at his home on a charge of theft of services, police said. He had tapped into a National Fuel gas line at a point before usage was metered.
Armstrong pleaded guilty to attempted petit larceny, police said. He was fined $405 and must pay full restitution to National Fuel, the amount of which wasn’t disclosed.
