Plea of not guilty entered on sexual abuse charges

Story tools:

LOCKPORT—A Niagara Falls man was arraigned Thursday in Niagara County Court on charges of sexually abusing two adult women in Niagara Falls, one on Aug. 13 and the other on Sept. 13.

Mylen N. Daugherty Jr., 46, of Buffalo Avenue, pleaded not guilty to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse. He is already listed as a Level 2 sex offender because of past convictions, including a child sexual abuse case in 1998 and a 2007 misdemeanor, Assistant District Attorney Robert A. Zucco said.

Daugherty said he would move to Newfane if he made bail, which Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza set at $10,000.
