Hit-run probe leads to arrest of brother
Authorities have made an arrest in the hit-and-run incident that critically injured a Gowanda man Oct. 9 on Old Lake Shore Road on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.
Kyle M. White, 22, of Irving, identified as the victim’s brother, was charged with leaving the scene of a serious physical injury accident along with numerous traffic offenses, Erie County sheriff’s deputies said Thursday.
Kyle White was at the wheel when Jesse S. White, 26, was struck at about 4:15 a. m. near the entrance to Snow’s Marina. Jesse White, who suffered internal and head injuries, was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center, where he has remained hospitalized. Currently, he is listed in stable condition.
