An Elma man was charged by state police with drunken driving late Saturday.
David J. Szarpa, 43, of Transit Road, was stopped about 11 p. m. on Seneca Street in Elma with a blood-alcohol content of 0.21 percent, more than twice the legal limit, troopers said. Szarpa was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated because his blood-alcohol reading was above 0.18.
