Plea deal accepted in Middleport burglary
LOCKPORT—A Wright Corners man charged in a Middleport burglary accepted a plea deal Monday in Niagara County Court.
Matthew Melcher, 21, of Lockport- Olcott Road, pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree burglary for stealing electronics, jewelry and a shotgun in a home in the 3500 block of Stone Road, Middleport, in 2007.
Judge Matthew J. Murphy III said he could face up to four years in prison when sentenced Nov. 30.
