Three hurt in Marilla as van, pickup collide
Three people were taken to the hospital Friday night following a two-car crash in Marilla.
The crash occurred shortly before 7:30 p. m. at Williston and Eastwood roads, Erie County sheriff’s officials said.
Lynnette M. Franz of Chaffee was driving a 1991 Ford van northbound on Eastwood, failed to stop at stop sign at the intersection, officials said, and was struck by a 2006 Dodge pickup heading west on Williston.
A 13-year-old passenger in the van was taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center and was listed in serious condition, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Franz, 41, was taken to ECMC, where she was treated and released for a shoulder injury.
The driver of the other vehicle, David Benzee, 41, of Cowlesville, was taken to ECMC with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
