RANSOMVILLE—A Lockport man was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after a chase that involved three police agencies Tuesday night.

Joshua D. Verity, 32, of Forest Hill Road, was charged additionally by Niagara County sheriff deputies with felony criminal possession of stolen property.

Deputies said they began pursuing Verity on Ridge Road near Ransomville Road at 9:30 p. m. Verity, police said, left the vehicle and took off running into dense brush in the 1900 block of Ridge Road.

Verity was captured by state police and turned over over to the Sheriff’s Office. The 2001 pickup, valued at $5,000, was stolen in Lockport, deputies said.
