Disabled ironworker admits drug possession

Story tools:

LOCKPORT—A disabled former ironworker who explained, “I thought I could make some fast money,” pleaded guilty Thursday to possessing cocaine with the intention of selling it.

Kevin E. DiPirro, 38, of Dysinger Road, admitted to fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and was scheduled for sentencing Sept. 17 by Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III. DiPirro, who said he shattered his wrist in a fall eight years ago and was unemployed until recently, was arrested Feb. 4 in the Town of Lockport.

In another drug case from that town, Johnny Rosado, 34, of Strauss Road, pleaded not guilty to third-degree sale and possession of a controlled substance. He allegedly sold oxycodone to an undercover officer April 23, 2008.
