Two drug defendants get five years of probation
LOCKPORT—Two men were placed on five years of probation in separate drug cases Wednesday in Niagara County Court.
Rocky J. Tabb, 28, of Falls Street, Niagara Falls, had pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III.
Tabb sold cocaine to a police informant in Niagara Falls on Oct. 21 and 24. Assistant Public Defender Alan J. Roscetti blamed the crime on Tabb’s unemployment, but said Tabb is now an apprentice barber.
Benjamin M. Kominarek, 23, of Evergreen Drive, Lockport, had admitted to fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced by Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza. He had about a gram of cocaine when police raided his home June 25, 2008.
