DWI crash in Brant sends two to ECMC
Two people were taken by Mercy Flight to Erie County Medical Center and a Blasdell man was charged with drunken driving after his vehicle struck another while he was being chased by police Sunday, authorities reported Monday.
Nathan D. Pfaffenbach, 31, of Wabash Avenue, Blasdell, was being chased by Town of Evans police at about 1:30 a. m. Sunday when the collision occurred near the entrance to Evangola State Park on Route 5 in the Town of Brant, police said.
His passenger, Jesse A. Pfaffenbach, 28, was listed in fair condition in ECMC late Monday.
The other driver, Kyle C. Golden, 43, also was taken by Mercy Flight to ECMC, where he was treated and released.
Evans police charged Nathan Pfaffenbach with DWI, while Erie County sheriff’s deputies charged him with two counts of vehicular assault and one count of criminal mischief, according to police reports. Sheriff’s officials said he was not injured.
