North Collins man held in assault on woman

A domestic assault in the Town of North Collins overnight Friday left a woman being taken to Lakeshore Community Hospital for treatment and a 40-year-old man charged with assault, Erie County sheriff’s officials reported.

Deputies responded at midnight to a Gowanda State Road residence, where they reported that Timothy E. Yetman was combative and uncooperative.

Deputies Daniel Milbrandt and Brendan Connolly charged Yetman with third-degree assault, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration and criminal mischief, according to police reports.
