Lockport man pleads guilty to felony DWI
LOCKPORT—A Bright Street man pleaded guilty Tuesday in Niagara County Court to a felony count of driving while intoxicated.
James J. Drake Sr., 45, admitted that he drove drunk in the city of Lockport on Nov. 18. Judge Matthew J. Murphy III scheduled sentencing for Aug. 11.
In another plea Tuesday, Diana L. Giarrizzo, 40, of 101st Street, Niagara Falls, pleaded guilty in the Waterworks cocaine case.
Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza set sentencing for Sept. 11 for Giarrizzo, who admitted to attempted seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She was among 13 people indicted in connection with drug dealing at the Waterworks bar in Niagara Falls last year.
