Troopers say bus driver had 0.15 blood-alcohol level

AMITY—State troopers reported Friday that a Southern Tier school bus driver who was arrested last month for allegedly driving drunk with more than a dozen children aboard had a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 percent, nearly twice the legal limit.
Martha A. Thompson, 55, of Almond, was arraigned on charges of DWI, 15 counts of endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment and released on her own recognizance.
She was allegedly operating an Alfred- Almond Central School bus on South Road in West Almond on May 8 while under the influence of alcohol.
