Story tools:

ASHVILLE—A head-on crash in the Town of North Harmony on Tuesday morning left two men hospitalized, Chautauqua County sheriff’s officials report.

Vehicles driven by Lonnie Hoover, 70, of Ashville, and Thomas Cassanti, 61, of Sherman, collided at about 11:30 a. m. on Open Meadows Road. Deputies said Hoover was southbound and crossed in front of Cassanti, who was traveling north.

Both drivers were taken to WCA Hospital, Jamestown, for evaluation. Hoover was later transported to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., for additional medical attention, officers said.
