Deputies say man injured woman during argument
RIPLEY—A Ripley man was charged with third-degree assault at about 1:30 p. m. Thursday after an argument with a woman turned into a physical confrontation, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Deputies said Andrew R. Dunlap, 24, of West Main Street, pushed the unidentified woman to the ground during the argument. When she drove herself to Westfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of a pain in her right hand, it was discovered to be a substantial injury, deputies reported. Dunlap was issued a summons to appear in Ripley Town Court.
