Father charged in crash injuring him, daughter

NEW ALBION—An East Otto man who was allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs injured himself and his 4-year-old daughter in a one-vehicle crash Monday, Cattaraugus County sheriff’s officials reported Wednesday.

Gary R. London, no age listed, was traveling on Route 353 in New Albion at about 9:20 a. m. when the crash occurred.

London taken by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo. He was later discharged by the hospital, a spokeswoman said Wednesday evening. His daughter, Midnight, was taken by Mercy Flight to Women& Children’s Hospital. Her condition was not known.

Police charged London with driving while ability impaired by drugs and numerous other charges. Additional charges are pending further investigation, police said.
