Hamburg driver charged with DWI in Chautauqua

MAYVILLE—A Hamburg man is held in Chautauqua County Jail after sheriff’s deputies arrested him at about 10 a. m. Sunday on a charge of felony driving while intoxicated.

Officers spotted Daniel J. Salmon, 47, on Route 394, after getting a tip that he had left Stow and was believed to be intoxicated. After the followed him for a short distance, he pulled into a driveway on Quilliam Road and was questioned. The felony DWI charge follows a DWI conviction in 2002.
