Alfred girl, 17, killed in two-vehicle crash
ALFRED—A 17-year-old girl was killed Friday in a two-vehicle crash at Route 244 and County Road 10, police said.
Emily Timbrook of Alfred was taken to St. James Hospital in Hornell, and then transported by helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where she died from her injuries, Alfred police said. Timbrook was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Ethan Mix, 17, of Almond.
Mix was stopped at a stop sign on County Road 10 at about 3:15 p. m. Friday, as Patrick Mohr, 20, of Limestone, was traveling west on Route 244. Mohr’s vehicle crashed into the passenger side of Mix’s vehicle, which “failed to yield the right of way,” police said.
The crash caused Mohr’s vehicle to overturn onto its roof, while Mix’s vehicle flipped onto its side.
Mix was treated in St. James Hospital and released. Mohr was admitted with leg injuries.
