Story tools:

A veteran foreign language professor at St. Bonaventure University was one of two men killed Tuesday in a two-car crash near Port Allegany, Pa., police said.

Leslie Badanes, 67, of Olean, was westbound on Route 6 at about 4:30 p. m. when he crossed the center line and struck a pickup driven by Ronald K. Gehman, 61, of Port Allegany. Both were pronounced dead at the scene, state police in Kane, Pa., said.

Badanes was honored by St. Bonaventure University in 1993 for 25 years of service to the school.
