Showing of rifle in quarrel prompts man’s jailing

Story tools:

STAFFORD—A Town of Stafford man who allegedly displayed a loaded rifle during a quarrel was sent to Genesee County Jail on Wednesday.

Michael A. Nicometo, 24, of Fargo Road, was arrested without incident by sheriff’s deputies and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and menacing.

Town Justice W. Douglas Call ordered the jailing of Nicometo, who did not post $10,000 bail. Deputies said Nicometo’s quarrel with an individual was “with the intent of causing injury.”
