Attempt to tow vehicle results in DWI charges
OAKFIELD—An East Pembroke man faces two misdemeanor drunken driving charges after trying to tow a vehicle from a crash scene Saturday on Albion Road, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said.
Mark A. Newton, 53, of Main Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI, a charge stemming from driving a commercial vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Newton was issued appearance tickets and is due in Oakfield Town Court on March 23.
