Brother, sister accused of drug possession
A Grand Island brother and sister were arrested Saturday on narcotics charges after a routine traffic stop, Erie County sheriff’s officials said.
Deputy Adam Imiolo had pulled the car over on Stony Point Road on Grand Island for an unspecified traffic infraction.
The driver—Erik Robinson, 23, of Ransom Road—could not produce any identification but reportedly revealed that he had heroin and hypodermic needles on him. A search of the car turned up more heroin.
Robinson’s sister, Brittany, 19, a passenger, admitted to having hypodermic needles as well as 103 tablets of Clonazepam, a muscle relaxant.
Both were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, both misdemeanors.
Brittany Robinson faced an additional charge of fifth-degree criminal possession for the pills.
Both were taken to Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in Grand Island Town Court.
