3 Amherst teens charged in graffiti vandalism case
Three Amherst teens were charged Thursday in connection with vandalism in the Snyder and Eggertsville areas, Amherst police said.
David R. Brown, 17, of Devon Lane; Peter M. Lynn, 17, of Evermay Lane; and Mark Carpino, 17, of Mount Vernon Road, are suspected of involvement in a graffiti ring responsible for thousands of dollars in damage to area buildings.
Brown was charged with two felony counts of criminal mischief and five misdemeanor counts of making graffiti. Lynn faces one felony criminal mischief count and two of misdemeanor making graffiti counts, while Carpino faces only a single misdemeanor making graffiti charge.
The three were arrested following an investigation by Amherst Police Detective Ed Bailey.
