Hinsdale collision of pickups injures 2
HINSDALE — Two people, including a 3-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries in a head-on crash between two pickups that closed a portion of Sherlock Hollow Road just after 6 p. m. Saturday, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deupties said slick roads caused Shawn Fitzpatrick, 43, of Ford Miles Road, Cuba, to slide sideways into oncoming traffic, where his vehicle was struck by a pickup driven by John Blakely of Great Valley.
Chloe Frost, 3, also of Ford Miles Road, was taken to Olean General for minor facial injuries and further observation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Blakely’s passenger, Marylyn Smith, 26, of Hedden Hollow Road, Cuba, was taken to Olean General Hospital for minor arm and leg injuries. Neither of the drivers was injured.
Fitzpatrick was ticketed for driving at an imprudent speed, failure to keep right and driving an uninspected vehicle.
