Dijon Thomas was sentenced Wednesday in State Supreme Court to 10 years in prison for his role in the street slaying of a Shirley Avenue man on June 7.
Thomas, 18, a gang member, supplied the handgun used by a friend in the fatal shooting of Jermain Martin, 19, at Bailey and Stockbridge avenues.
Thomas pleaded guilty Oct. 28 to first-degree manslaughter. He has been in custody since he returned to Buffalo months ago from his home in Roseridge, N. C.
Gerald “Nana” Gibson, 18, of Alexander Avenue, Cheektowaga, will be sentenced March 16 on first-degree manslaughter after admitting that he was the shooter, according to James F. Bargnesi, chief of the Erie County district attorney’s Homicide Bureau.
Gibson faces a prison term of 21 to 25 years on his manslaughter plea.
