Report of shots fired results in 3 arrests
Three people, including two 17- year-olds, were arrested early Sunday on the porch of a West Side home after police responded to a “shots fired” call.
Someone called 911 to report gunshots near Plymouth and Massachusetts avenues, according to a Buffalo police report.
Officers matched a description of the suspects given over police radio channels to three individuals sitting on a porch about a block away on Massachusetts Avenue, between West and Fargo avenues.
Just before 1:30 a. m., police arrested Vaughn C. Franklin, 38; and Henry Santiago, 17, both of Winter Street; and Ramone L. Rodriguez, 17, of Plymouth Avenue.
Each was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Police recovered a loaded .38-caliber handgun tossed in the snow near the porch, according to the report.
Santiago was also found to have two bullets in his jacket pocket, the report said.
