Teacher’s aide injured trying to stop attack
An East High School teacher’s assistant was injured Tuesday after attempting to break up an attack by three teenage boys on another boy, Buffalo police said.
The attack occurred at about 12:30 p. m. Tuesday outside the cafeteria at the Northampton Street school. The assistant, identified only as Denise Ferguson, was knocked down and struck her head on the floor and was taken to Buffalo General Hospital. Her condition was unavailable late Tuesday.
Two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old were charged each with harassment and assault. The boy who was attacked suffered bruises and swelling.
