DWI suspect tries to flee from officers
SALAMANCA — Salamanca police reported two arrests early Sunday morning, including a man charged with drunken driver who tried to flee from officers.
Steven Krajnik, 44, of Pimlico Avenue, was pulled over for a traffic violation on Pimlico at about 1:40 a. m., Salamanca police said.
Krajnik fled the scene but was apprehended a short time later. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, resisting arrest, second- degree obstruction of governmental administration and failure to keep right. He was held in the city jail awaiting arraignment, police said.
About three hours later, Salamanca police arrested Rodney Tucker, 43, in his home on Wildwood Avenue. Tucker tried to assault another person inside his residence, police said.
He was charged with third-degree attempted assault and was taken to the city jail to await arraignment.
