Masked man steals SUV after victim drops keys

Story tools:

A masked gunman stole an SUV on Dorris Avenue late Friday after the man he was trying to rob dropped his keys while he was running away from the scene, Northeast District police said.

The victim said he was approached by the gunman, who was wearing a black mask, black pants and a black hoodie, at about 11:30 p. m. He said the robber pointed a silver handgun at him and demanded money.

The victim said he ran away and dropped the keys to his black 2003 Chevy Trailblazer.

The robber is believed to have taken the Chevy, using the keys.
