Route 16 crash injures Franklinville woman
FARMERSVILLE — Charges are pending in a crash Wednesday afternoon on Route 16 near Route 98, Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies said.
Penny Williams, 65, of Franklinville, was driving south on Route 16 and crossed the center line, striking a northbound vehicle head-on. It was driven by Peggy Davis, 58, of Machias, deputies said.
Williams suffered multiple injuries and was airlifted to Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, deputies said. Her condition was unavailable. Davis was uninjured.
