Incubator bill moving

Story tools:

A bill approved by a Senate subcommittee includes $117,500 designated for a clean energy business incubator in South Buffalo.

The project involves converting a city-owned grain elevator site adjacent to the RiverWright ethanol project. The bill next goes to the Senate’s full appropriations committee.

The goal of the incubator is to grow alternative energy technology companies, create jobs and establish Buffalo as a leader in green energy, according to Sens. Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.
