• Wednesday — Labor Department releases consumer price index for October; Commerce Department releases housing starts for October.
• Thursday — Labor Department releases weekly jobless claims; Mortgage firm Freddie Mac releases weekly mortgage rates; Conference Board releases leading indicators for October.
• Friday — Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit opens, through Sunday. Leaders of China, U. S. and Canada among those attending.
