Former Buffalo Bills coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Marv Levy will be the keynote speaker during the University of Rochester Medical Center’s Men’s Health Day from 7 a. m.-2 p. m. Sept. 11 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Rochester.

More than a dozen top specialists will lead discussions on how men ages 45 and up can maintain their health. Topics scheduled for discussion include: recognizing the symptoms of a stroke, prostate health and sexuality, and more. The day also includes health screenings, breakfast, lunch and giveaways. BADMINTON: The Badminton Club of Greater Buffalo is accepting registrations for Monday night indoor sessions at Lindbergh Elementary School in Kenmore. Sessions run from September-November at 9:15 p. m., doubles courts only. Call 873-9800.

GOLF: Tri-County Country Club will host the “Build a Bridge” scramble golf tournament starting 9 a. m. Sunday with proceeds going to fund repairs necessitated by the Aug. 10 flood. Among the items up for auction is an opportunity to play in a foursome with Angola native and former Duke University and NBA star Christian Laettner. The annual Hope Center Classic, a charity golf tournament that raises money for the Hope Center children’s orphanage in Honduras, will take place Sept. 12, at Holland Hills Country Club. SOFTBALL: The North Buffalo Wildcats travel teams will hold tryouts for 10-under, 12-under and 14-under teams from noon to 2 p. m. Saturday at Shoshone Park, off Hertel Avenue.
