Bulletin Board/Notes and upcoming events
Attention all bowlers!
The Buffalo News will continue to run daily reports of local league and tournament bowling scores in its daily editions and on its Web site, but there has been one important adjustment to our policy for the 2009-10 season.
This season we will require that all scores be reported either by e-mail to sports@buffnews.com or by fax at 849-4587 and not by phone. We have found that this has worked for many leagues and establishments. Generally, scores should get to us before 10:30 p. m. to be published in the first edition of the next day’s paper. Late scores will be published in the subsequent editions but we encourage reporting information as early as possible.
Again, we will take male series of 675 or higher and single game scores of 250 or better with a limit of five per league. For female scores, the minimum standards will be 600 series and 225 single games with a limit of five per league (10 overall for a mixed league). All scores must be accompanied by name of the attesting league secretary (if reported by an individual league) or by a lanes employee (if reported by host establishment).
A listing of 300 games will be published each Saturday and will be included in the daily area bowling report on the scoreboard page.

He was the starting goalkeeper for St. Lawrence’s undefeated 1999 team that captured the Division III national championship and holds Saints records for career winning percentage by a starting goalkeeper, shutouts in a season and lowest goals-against average for a career.
