The Monday Quarterback Club, the business group that backs the Buffalo Bills, will hold its annual Players Awards luncheon Dec. 29, at the Millennium Hotel on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga. The event will feature Bills player selections for several awards, including Man of the Year, Special Teams Awards, Unsung Hero, and Rookie of the Year. Doors open at 11:15 a. m. Representing the Bills will be Russ Brandon, Chief Operating Officer. Paul Peck will be the emcee. This year the Club will award co-recipients of the high school football coach of the year to John Faller of Sweet Home and Curt Fischer of Maple Grove. BASEBALL: The Buffalo School of Baseball, 3950 Broadway in Depew, is hosting its 15th annual three-day Christmas clinic on Dec. 29-31 from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. To register call 681-3001 or visit www.buffaloschoolofbaseball.com.

BASKETBALL: The Buffalo Police Athletic League winter league starts Jan. 10 for boys and girls in divisions: 12-under, 15-under, 17-under. Deadline to register is next Tuesday. Games will be played on Saturday and Sundays at the city community center. Cost is $175 for 12-under and $200 for all others. Call Orv Cott at 812-7251 or PAL at 851-4615.

BOWLING:There’s still time to register for the Jamestown Bowling Company’s Holiday Sweepers being held on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day. Bowling starts at 10 a. m. Entry fee is $25. All bowlers roll three games across six lanes. The top eight scores with handicap bowl single elimination matches until a winner is determined. To register call 483-1818.

HOCKEY:Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga will conduct a two-hour clinic for ages 8-14 on Tuesday, Dec. 30 from 1:30-3:30 p. m. Members of the Paul Grundtisch Hockey Camps will be in charge of drills, which include power skating, puck handling, receiving, and passing the puck. Goalies are welcome. The cost is $15. SOCCER: Top Level Soccer in Tonawanda is accepting registrations for Instructional Indoor Programs that start in January for ages 2-17. Call Dan Dolan at 418-2162 or visit www.toplevelsoccer.com. . . . The Niagara PAL Soccer Club and Top Level Soccer are offering an instructional Futsal Soccer Program for boys and girls ages 5-8. The program consists of two six-week sessions starting Jan. 10 and running through April. Sessions are one hour and are held Saturdays at the LaSalle Neighborhood Facility (95th St. and Colvin Blvd.). Soccer skills and techniques are introduced.
