game. Bob Wesolek threw three touchdowns, including the game-winning 20-yard strike to
Steve Patterson with under two minutes left in the game. Damian Maddning threw two

Former team captain Pat LaFontaine will be the keynote speaker at the next Buffalo
Sabres Power Play luncheon at noon, Nov. 20 in the HSBC Arena 100 Level Harbour Club. Tickets
($29 for individuals, tables of 10 for $250) for the luncheon are now on sale with a portion
of the proceeds to benefit the Buffalo Sabres Foundation. Tickets may be purchased on
Sabres.com or by calling 855-4588. Free parking will be available in the ramp adjacent to the
arena. The final Power Play luncheon will be March 5. The guest speaker will be announced

League, will speak at a lunch at noon Thursday at Chef's Restaurant, 291 Seneca St., Buffalo.
Coniglio taught civil engineering at the University at Buffalo for 25 years. Cost for UB

Members of the Buffalo Jewish Community Center have already logged 609 miles with a goal of 1,000 to help fight breast cancer during October. The JCC purchased two pink treadmills from CYBEX during their recent million dollar renovation. These treadmills enable CYBEX to donate 10 cents for every mile logged throughout the month to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. (Updated: 10/27/09 7:12 AM )

A senior men’s team from Western New York has advanced to the United States Tennis Association League National Championships. The team, rated 3.5 and captained by Chuck Hunt, will represent the Eastern U. S. in a series of matches Oct. 23-25 at Indian Wells, Calif. Hunt’s team advanced by first winning the local league with a 9-1 record, then beating a team from Binghamton to win the WNY title, and then winning all five matches against other Eastern regional champs in Schenectady. The team consists of Hunt, Dave Aloi, Bill Anderson, Bill Carey, Scott Gorham, Dave Jentsch, Jim McDonald, Dan Pasquini and Phil Toohey. (Updated: 10/09/09 6:54 AM )

Buffalo Bills alumni and former coaches will conduct an “Intro to Football” course on four Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p. m. at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society at Nottingham Court and Elmwood Avenue. Moderators for sessions—which cost $12 each or $40 for all four—are former receivers Lou Piccone and Charley Ferguson.
