'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives' episode with WNY focus to air Nov. 16

An episode of the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" that puts the spotlight on the Lake Effect Diner will air at 10 p.m. Nov. 16.

The episode was filmed over a two-week period in August, when Guy Fieri and his crew came to town. During that time, they were set to shoot at several local restaurants, including Grover's in Amherst and Earl's Drive-In in Chaffee.

In announcing the episode's air date, the owners of Lake Effect Diner also said the locally oriented "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" episode will be publicly screened at the Steer, 3151 Main St. — next door to Lake Effect Diner.
